A TIME TO BE BORN
Aubrey Ametrius Jackson was born June 19, 1962, in Darlington County. He was the loving son of the late Leroy J. Jackson and Minnie LB Jackson.
A TIME TO GROW
Aubrey was an affectionate, loving fellow. He started his education at Ms. Wingate's Preschool in Darlington, South Carolina, where he was quickly named teacher's pet. Aubrey's elementary education began at St. Mary's Catholic School in Hartsville, South Carolina, and he was a graduate of Hartsville High School, Class of 1981. He then graduated from Florence-Darlington Technical College with a degree in Industrial Electronics. He furthered his studies at Kissimmee University in Florida.
A TIME TO SERVE
Aubrey would work, work, and work. His employment began on his grandparents, Clarence and Inez D. Byrd's, farm. This is where he learned the value of hard work. After graduating from high school, Aubrey had various jobs in Hartsville, South Carolina. An opportunity then presented itself in Newnan, Georgia at Bonnell Aluminum. After that, opportunity then knocked at his door for employment at Eckerd Photo Lab, where he worked for 13 years. Aubrey's interest was always in aeronautics, and in 1994 he decided to work two jobs and gained employment at Delta Airlines at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia. He worked there for 28 years until his retirement.
A TIME TO WORSHIP
Aubrey's early stages of life were guided by his parents who believed in God. He joined Green Hill Baptist Church where he accepted Christ as his Savior and was loved and well liked particularly by the mothers of the church because he would bake them cakes.
A TIME TO LIVE
A TIME TO DIE After facing several years of illness with courage and spirit, God called Aubrey's final game on May 10, 2025, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Newnan, Georgia, for it is the will of the most high of our time on this earth but even in death, we must be reminded of the life that was lived and for that we will rejoice.
