Creighvion Benjamin

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Creighvion Benjamin.  

Mr. Benjamin passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in Columbia, SC.  

The family will receive friends at:

2606 N. Governor Williams Highway, Darlington, SC.

Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”                                                           Revelation 21:4

Mr. Creighvion Harold Benjamin was born on April 2, 1997 in Darlington County. He was the son of the late Harriet Horton and Creighton Benjamin. Creighvion’s life ended unexpectedly on January 22, 2025.

Creighvion received his formal education in the public schools of Darlington County. He was a graduate of Hartsville High School, Class of 2015.

Creighvion was a member of Holy Church of The Living God.

Creighvion was known for his laughter and smile. His laughter was large and sweet, spreading warmth and drawing laughter from all around him. He had and infectious smile. Creighvion’s biggest passion in life was music. As a music artist, he spent countless hours perfecting his God given talent. He will forever be remembered for his music.

Creighvion was preceded in death by his mother, Harriot Horton.

Those left to cherish his memories are: his father, Creighton Benjamin; children: Braylon Javion Benjamin and Aalayah Anastasia Byrd; godparents: June and Ann Ratliff; brother: Antonio Johnson; uncles: Henry Jackson, Willie Benjamin, Jimmy Benjamin, John Earl Benjamin and Curtis Benjamin; aunts: Willene Knox, Rosetta Oliver, Rosa Benjamin, Mary Ann Tedder and Hattie Mae Sellers; special friend: Iveta Gilliard; and a host of other close relatives and friends.

Creighvion was a bright star in this often-difficult world and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
