“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
Psalms 73:26 NIV
Ms. Crislyn McFarlan was the daughter of the late Christopher McFarlan and NaTomeka Terry. She was reared in a loving Christian home filled with the belief and sincere love of God. ‘Meyah’ as she was affectionately known to those who loved her dearly. She received her education in the South Carolina Public Schools, graduating from McBee High School in 2020.
She was currently attending Florence-Darlington Technical College pursuing to become a Respiratory Therapist. Additionally, she was currently employed at Wal-Mart/Neighborhood Market in Florence, South Carolina as a Deli Associate.
Meyah was a member of Agape Fellowship African Methodist Episcopal Church in McBee, South Carolina and attended Palmetto Street Church of God in Florence, South Carolina. Meyah was a vibrant soul whose passion for life was undeniable. She had a deep love for reading and found joy in singing and dancing, often lighting up the room with her energy and laughter. A true “selfie queen,” Meyah enjoyed capturing life’s moments and sharing her radiant smile. She loved shopping, dining out, and spending meaningful time with her family and friends. Known for her comedic nature, she had a gift for making others laugh and was often the life of the party. Independent, outspoken, and incredibly smart, she was the go-to person for guidance and support. Everything she did, she did with a smile and a giving heart—often showing her love by buying gifts for others or cheering on the underdog. Meyah embraced new experiences and had a magnetic personality that naturally drew people to her. Though she was selective about her inner circle, she was always open to new friendships and made everyone feel seen and appreciated. Punctual, dependable, and full of spirit, she truly lived life on her own terms—fearlessly and unapologetically. Above all, she will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and unwavering ability to bring joy to those around her.
