It is with sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Mr. Darrick (Uncle Dee) Moore.
Mr. Moore passed away on July 11, 2026.
Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC, of Hartsville, SC.
Darrick (Uncle Dee) Moore…there are some people whose presence fill every room, whose laughter lingers long after they are gone, whose love leaves a mark that time can never erase. Darrick “Brooklyn Black” Moore was one of those rare souls and a family man at heart and soul. Friend to a friend, thank you James Barnette.
Darrick was born to Joseph H. Moore and Vivian Bristow Moore, whom he loved and cherished, on July 19, 1963. He was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother to three brothers, three sisters and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins that loved him dearly.
He leaves behind a legacy of service through his work with C.H.O.A.S., Inner City Youth, the five boroughs of New York City, Positive Counseling, D. Moore Entertainment, and alongside Minister Joyce Alemida with No Woman Left Behind in Harlem, New York. This organization helps shelter battered women through positive advice, social programs and safety from life elements.
