It is with sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Mr. David Miller.
Mr. Miller passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
The family will receive friends at: 1472 Thorngate Circle, Hartsville, SC.
Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.
“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11: 28-30
Today, we remember David Miller, a remarkable individual whose generosity and positive outlook inspired all who knew him.
David was born September 11, 1948, in Camden, SC to Mose Miller and Mary Days Miller. He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at McLeod Regional Medical Center.
David graduated from high school and later moved to New York. He worked as a maintenance employee for the town of Garden City, NY, and also served as a cab dispatcher for Hempstead Pub Taxi Service.
David enjoyed fishing and had an affection for the waters of the sea. His unwavering optimism and willingness to help others made a profound impact on our lives. Whether through his thoughtful advice or his cheerful demeanor, David had a special way of making everyone feel valued and appreciated. Though we will miss him dearly, his legacy of kindness and his enduring spirit will continue to inspire us.
David was preceded in death by: his mother, Mary Days Miller; father, Mose Miller; son, David Miller Jr.; sisters:Lucille Miller Epps, Dorothy Ann Miller Green, Lena Miller, and Mary Ann Miller Jackson; brothers: Mose Miller Jr., John Miller, Ben Miller, Willie James Miller, and Leroy Miller.
David leaves to cherish his memories: sons, Tyrone Alston Miller and Gregory Miller; daughter, Diana Lorena Basora; grandchildren: Devaughn Reeves, Jordan Miller, Keshon Miller, Kyree Miller, Tyler Reeves, Kamari Snead, Luis Perez, Andrew Basora, Steven Basora, Grayson Miller, Gianna Miller, Tosh Miller, and Antron Miller; sisters, Mamie (Wilton) Whitehurst and Patricia Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other close relatives and friends.
