It is with sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Ms. Deloris Lucas.
Ms. Lucas passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
The family will receive friends at: 2522 Thousand Oaks Drive, Hartsville, SC.
Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7.
Deloris Lucas was born on February 27, 1958, in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Flossie Mae Smith and Weldon C. Lucas. She departed this life on May 28, 2026.
Deloris attended Darlington County Public Schools and was a faithful member of Mt. Calvary AME Church.
Affectionately known as “Ladybug,” Deloris found great joy in playing bingo, spending cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and sharing the rich history and legacy of her family. She loved family gatherings, where her warmth, laughter, and vibrant spirit brought joy and laughter to those around her. She also was a proud and passionate fan of the Washington Commanders.
Deloris was preceded in death by: Weldon C. Lucas, LeRoy Smith, Flossie Mae Smith, Vanoka Kind, James Lucas, and Edward Lucas.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: children: Derrick Lucas, Ronnie (Akamie) Lucas, and Antonio Lucas; grandchildren: Tremaine Moore, JaQuawn Forte’, ShaQuanna Lucas, Derrion Lucas, Akeeya Lucas, and Khalilah Lucas; great-grandchildren: Aaliyah Moore, Lucas Moore, Jaxon Forte’, Logan Moore, Kaiser Johnson, and Day’Vion Lucas; siblings: Ebbly Bush, Debrah Briggs, Cynthia Lucas, Dexter Autrey, Deloris Lucas, Charles Lucas, and Doris Lucas; special friends: Angela Coefield, Vallarie Hall, Teresa King, Melvin, Carla, and Tamel Pierce; and a host of other family members and friends.
