Edith Jackson

It is with sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Ms. Edith Jackson.

Ms. Jackson passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

Born on September 24,1950, Edith was the daughter of Alma and James Jackson, Sr. She was a longtime resident of the Darlington County Disabilities and Special Needs Board. Edith was one of eight children and enjoyed spending time with her housemates.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alma Jackson; her father, James Jackson, Sr.; her sisters, Lois Pate and Barbara Jackson; her brother, James Jackson, Jr.; and her nephew, Trevous Jackson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her surviving siblings: Lottie Dubose, Patsy Jackson, Calvin Jackson, and Philip Jackson and her very special caretaker Ms. Verniell Hannibal.
