It is with great sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Mrs. Ethel Mae Mingo.
Mrs. Mingo passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

Today, we celebrate the life of Ms. Ethel Mae Mingo, a woman who left a legacy of faith and love. Ethel was born in Darlington County on June 16, 1961, to Leo Jackson and Ethel G. Jackson. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Though she is no longer with us, we rejoice knowing she is with the Lord, where her soul is at rest, and we will see her again one day.
Ethel was educated in the public schools of Darlington County. She graduated in 1979 from Hartsville High School. Because Ethel had a strong work ethic, she worked several jobs throughout her life. She was employed by Delta Veneers, B&B Restaurant and Takis Restaurant. Ethel also worked third shift at the Thad E. Saleeby Center. Because Ethel was kind, generous, loyal and friendly, many were attracted to her. She made lasting friendships.
Ethel was a member of Centerville AME Church.
Ethel loved to cook and bake. She was an excellent cook. She also enjoyed floral designing in her pastime. She found pleasure in creating and decorating decorative displays.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Jackson and Ethel G. Jackson.
Ethel leaves to cherish her fond memories are son, Fredreno Jackson, grandchildren Dashia Jackson, Henya Jackson, Jamier Jackson, Jaymren Jackson, Ari Jackson; siblings Emma Jean Rouse, Frank Newsome, Heyward Jackson, Leo Hub Jackson; nephews Heyvis (Jessica),Clintonio Hunter, and Heyleigh/Hayden Jackson; and a host of other nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends.
