It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ms. Felicia McPhail.
Ms. McPhail passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at her residence with her family by her side.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM at: 3624 Pinebark Lane, Society Hill, SC.
Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

Sadly, our beloved Felicia Bishop McPhail passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Felicia’s loss is deeply felt by her immense family and all those who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire strength, resilience, and generosity in those whose lives she touched.
Felicia was born on March 8, 1942, to Ralph Bishop and Oneatha Thompson Bishop. She received her primary and secondary education in the public schools in Darlington County. Felicia graduated from Rosenwald High School class of 1960. She met and married the late Julius McPhail, Jr. She worked for Nytronics Components Group, Inc.
Felicia accepted the Lord as her Savior and joined New Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher’s Ministry. Felicia was a devout Christian. She prayed for her family faithfully every night. She did not stop at just praying for her children, she prayed for peace in the world. Felicia never met a stranger. She would always say, “I love you and I’m going to pray for you. Felicia was steadfast in her faith and her belief in the love of God.
Felicia loved cooking for her children and grandchildren before her health declined. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends. One of her favorite pastimes were gardening. She loved watching basketball which was her favorite sport. Golden State Warriors was her team and Stephen Curry was her favorite player. She found joy and laughter in watching Oneather get upset and change colors after his favorite team, Dallas Cowboys would lose football games.
Felicia was preceded in death by her sisters, Catherine Bailey, Edith Alston, and Lillie Bess; grandson, Michael Nelson and great grandson, Adonis Dashon McLeod; mother in law, Phyllis Mcphail; brothers in law: Robert McPhail, George McPhail, James McPhail, Peter Bailey, Bobby Bess, Eddie Alston, and Cornelious Phillips
Felicia leaves behind to cherish memories of her, her loving and devoted children: Oneather M. Nelson, Society Hill, SC; Julius McPhail, Kentucky; Kenneth McPhail, (Centerville Community) Hartsville SC; adopted daughter, Michelle Friday; devoted nephew, Donald Alston; devoted niece, Hazelene Bess; beloved grandchildren: Aunesia Nelson of the home, Detroit McPhail, Madison McPhail, Miriam McPhail, Gabriella McDonald, D’eysia McPhail and adopted grandson, Xzavier Hunter; sisters in law: Janie McPhail, Patricia (Reverend Coleman) Cannon, Sarah Phillips, Modestine McPhail, and Maggie McIger; devoted first cousin, Michael Thompson; devoted special neighbors, Ruth Zimmerman and John Graham.
