Henry "Pouga Gee " Martin

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Mr. Henry “Pouga Gee” Martin.

Mr. Martin passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2026.

Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 

We, the beloved family and friends, have assembled to celebrate the life of our dear, Henry Martin, Jr. Although we are filled with grief and sadness, we rejoice in knowing that he is still in our midst with every memory shared and the love that was radiated through laughter and priceless moments. He shall surely be remembered dearly.

 Henry ‘Pouga Gee” as he was affectionately known, was born on November 1, 1972. He was the loving son of the late Henry Martin, Sr. and Edwina Martin. He departed his earthly home on Monday, January 19, 2026.

 Henry graduated from Hartsville High School, Class of 1990. He was employed in the Industrial field for many years. 

Henry was preceded in death by his son, Malakhi Cranford and grandmothers, Mrs. Theo Johnson and Mrs. Mamiah Martin.

 Surviving to cherish his memories are: his sons, Kel’detric Martin and Kay’den Cranford; daughter, Lakiya Cranford; step-sons, Sean James and Dan’Driquz Taylor; and step-daughter, Liberty Cranford, all of Hartsville, SC; special friend, Kristina Taylor; siblings: Eric Martin, Lionel Martin and Albert (Bridgett) Martin; uncle, George (Janette) Johnson; aunts: Pauline Summers, Lois Shaw, and Charlene B. Mack, all of Hartsville, SC; step-grandchildren; God-daughter, Keyasha Hickman; special best friend, Richard Hickman; close friends: Mike Brown, Joe Brunson, Duane Carroway, Billy Jackson, Brenard Lucas, Albert Davis, Eric Montgomery, Terrell Littles, and Andrew Toney; special best friend/homegirl/sister, Melinda Wilds; and a host of nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.
