“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

                                                                              Psalm 23:4

Today we celebrate the life of Mr. Jai’Mere De’Lontae Jordan. A life taken too young and far too soon. We are united by the love and the profound sense of loss we all feel for Jai’Mere, one who touched our lives in ways words can hardly express. Though his time on earth was brief, Jai’Mere filled our lives with warmth and inspiration.

Jai’Mere was born February 6, 2009, in Hartsville, SC to Amanda Jordan and Brandon McFadden. Sadly, and unexpectedly, he departed this earthly life on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the age of sixteen.

Jai’Mere was educated in the public schools of Darlington County. He attended Washington Street Elementary and West Hartsville Elementary during his primary years. His secondary educational learning included Hartsville Middle School and Hartsville High School, which is where he was currently attending.

Jai’Mere attended Wesley United Methodist Church and House of Refuge.

Jai’Mere was a momma’s boy. He was affectionately called “Mere Man” by her. He was always there to help his mom and loved to eat up her food. He was the youngest boy until baby Jaki came but he acted as though he was the oldest of the kids. Jai’Mere loved to play basketball and football. He grew up playing basketball for Hartsville Recreation Department. Later, he joined the Pearson Prep Travel Ball and Allstar team. During his earlier years, he also played football with the Hartsville Recreation Department and later joined Hartsville Middle School JV, Hartsville High JV and Hartsville High Varsity Football teams.

Jai’Mere was preceded in death by his cousin, Ayva Naomi Bradley and his aunt, Ayissha Monique Jordan.

Surviving to cherish Jai’Mere’s fond memories are: his mother, Amanda Jordan; father, Brandon McFadden; sisters: A’Niiya Le’Shae Samuel, Ah’Riiya Monique Jacobs, Jamya Cobwebb, Jakema Diaiz, Heaven McFadden, Honesty McFadden, Blossom McFadden, Jayla McFadden, Journey McFadden, and Couragous McFadden; brothers: Jaquan Latrell Samuel, Ja’Kai Aysaiah Bailey, DaShyquan Gibson, Gabe Robinson, Amauri Sington, Brandon McFadden, Jayden McFadden, Legend McFadden, and King McFadden; grandmother, Brenda Jordan; grandfather, Elder Joseph Robinson; fraternal grandparents, Mitchell Lucas (David) and Donald McFadden (Janean); aunts: Akia Jordan, Aja Feliciano, LaFonda Lucas, and Lavonda Jordan; and a host of cousins and other close relatives and friends.

Though Jai’Mere is no longer with us, his spirit will remain a part of us forever.
