“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
Psalm 23:4
Justin Jamaal Pullom was born on Thursday, October 29th, 1998 at the McLeod Women’s Pavilion in Florence, SC to Charlie Pullom, Jr and Angela Denise Pierce Pullom. He attended Darlington County public schools after attending Emmanuel Christian School and finished his final middle school year being selected to attend the Mayo High School for Math, Science and Technology where the teachers all loved him. He was inducted into the National Beta Club and participated in many activities throughout his formative years. He played little league basketball through the Lakeview Baptist Church’s Upward Basketball program and for the Hartsville Recreation Department. Justin also played little league football and baseball for the Hartsville Recreation Department. He loved to talk and never met a stranger so most of the time you would find him socializing on the fields.
Upon graduating from Mayo High School for Math, Science and Technology, he furthered his education at Lander University in Greenwood SC, Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley Georgia and York Technical College in Rock Hill SC. Justin was employed by Silfab Solar and also worked part time at Zaxby’s, both in Fort Mill SC. He was a kindhearted soul who made friends where ever he attended school or worked.
Justin was baptized at an early age at the Kay Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Hartsville, SC by Pastor Reginald J. McLeod. Though he strayed from the church after graduating high school, he always remembered his Christian upbringing and had recently begun attending WORD Fellowship Church in Charlotte, NC with his mother. Justin loved playing video games with his twin brother, making music, rapping, laughing and spending time with his nieces.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents (Charlie and Angela Pullom of Lancaster, SC), his sister (Courtney Pullom of Charlotte, NC), his twin brother (Jaylen Pullom of Charlotte, NC), his maternal grandmother (Rosa Pierce of Hartsville SC), his paternal grandmother (Louise Pullom of Cleveland, Ohio), his aunts (Windy Pierce of Fort Mill SC and Jennifer Pullom of Cleveland Ohio), his uncles (Charles Pullom of Cleveland, Ohio and Coty Brooks of Clover, SC), his high school sweetheart and love of his life (Reagan Fuller of Indian Land, SC), his 3 nieces whom he cherished with all his heart (Chloe, Kinslei, and Kaizlan Pullom of Darlington, SC), a very special 1st cousin who he took under his wings along with his twin to act as a big brother to (Myles Pierce of Fort Mill, SC), a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, friends and coworkers. Preceding him in death were his paternal grandfather (Charlie Lee Pullom, Sr of Birmingham, Alabama and his maternal grandfather (Winston Pierce, Sr of Darlington SC).
To know Justin was to love Justin. He will be missed and loved by us all. Though a mere 26 years of life on this side of heaven, he left a huge impact through the life that he lived and the lives that he touched.
