It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Mr. Leverne Johnson.
Mr. Johnson transitioned on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

Mr. Leverne Johnson was born February 13, 1966, in Hartsville SC to Willie and Betty Johnson. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
Leverne, affectionately known as “Vedo”, attended Darlington County Public School System. He specialized in landscaping and sanitation, taking great pride in his work. Leverne did not simply work in landscaping --- he had a passion for it. He understood that beauty wasn't instant. It was cultivated, nurtured, and earned over time.
Leverne (Vedo) enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved to watching football and dancing whenever the opportunity arose! His greatest pastime was the quality time with his family and friends, creating lasting memories through laughter and love.
Leverne (Vedo) was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Betty Johnson.
Leverne (Vedo) leaves to cherish his memories and carry on his legacy are a son Dontavis Anderson; siblings Allen Sowells, Richard (Melissa) Sowells, Randy (Elizabeth) Sowells, Marie Johnson, and Reggie Cabbagestalk; aunts Mae Ella Kennedy, Mae Francis Sowells; special friend Rosalind Coe; special cousin Pamela Lucas; a host of nieces, one nephew, cousins, and other close relatives.
Leverne (Vedo) was a blessing to everyone that knew him.
Though we will miss him greatly, we hold on to the hope that we will see him again in heaven, where he is now with Christ, free from pain and full of eternal peace.
