Mary Alice Peterson

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ms. Mary Peterson.  

Ms. Peterson passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, SC. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 20, 2024 at:

718 Butler Street, Hartsville, SC. 

All services are entrusted to Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

“Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his  unfailing love.”

Today we celebrate the homegoing of Ms. Mary Alice Peterson. Mary was born on April 17, 1967 in Hartsville, South Carolina to Wille Scott and Cecelia Petrson Boone. She departed this earthly life on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center.

Mary was educated in the public schools of Darlington County.

Mary was a certified nursing assistant. She was employed by Morningside of Hartsville at the time of her death.

Mary was a member of Mended Hearts Ministries in Darlington, SC. She believed with all her heart, God was her provider, protector, and her healer.

Mary found pleasure in spending time with her family and friends. Her love for her family was immeasurable. She was a true friend to all that knew and loved her.

Preceding her in death are two children, Rondrecus “Des” Peterson and Jurkeith Peterson.

Left to cherish her loving memories are: her parents, Willie Scott and CeCelia P. Boone; step-father: Gregory Boone Sr.; children: Veronica White and Alexandra Peterson; eight grandchildren and one great- grandchild; sisters: Jacqueline Kennedy, Joyce Thomas, Carla Looney, Princess Boone, Brandy Burrough and Janet Belin; brothers: Gregory Boone Jr., Calvin Gordon, Darren Scott and Jermaine Riddick; godchildren: Kimo Brown, Heaven Wesley and Moesha King; special friends: Loretta Harris, Frances Bryant, Kim Lucky, Mildred Jackson,Michelle Bailey and Vondela Samuel; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other close relatives and friends.

Rest in peace, Mary Alice Peterson. Those we love can never be more than a thought away for as long as there’s a memory, they live in our hearts to stay.
