It is with great sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Mr. Oscar Cotton.

Mr. Cotton passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

Oscar Lorenzo Cotton, age 62, passed away on August 12, 2025, in Hartsville, South Carolina. 

Born on December 11, 1961, in Hartsville, South Carolina, Oscar attended Darlington County Public Schools.

 Oscar was well-known for his many skills and enjoyed sharing his knowledge of different trades with those around him. He found joy in gathering with family and friends. 

Oscar was a devoted brother, friend and loved by the community. He cherished every moment spent with his family and was known for his humor, knowledge, and wisdom.

 Oscar is preceded in death by: his parents, Roosevelt Cotton Sr. and Lugenia Cotton; sister, Margret Hunter; brother, Roosevelt Cotton, Jr. He was a loving brother to his siblings: Roland Dickey, Wanda Cotton, Minnetta Cotton, Loretta Cotton, Paul Cotton (Kelley Doswell) and Mary Bruce.

 Oscar’s legacy of love, kindness, and service will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
