Philip Jackson

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Mr. Philip Jackson.

Mr. Jackson transitioned on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

The family will receive friends at: 140 Sunshine Court, Hartsville, SC.

Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC, of Hartsville, SC.

 Mr. Philip “Bud” Jackson passed away on August 20, 2026, at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Florence, SC. 

Philip, affectionately known as “Bud” was born on April 10, 1952, in Darlington County to his loving parents, James Jackson, Sr. and Alma Jackson.

 Philip was a longtime resident of the Thad E. Saleeby Development Center, where he made it his home and community for years. Philip brought warmth, laughter, and a steady presence to everyone living and working in the center. 

Philip was preceded in death by: his parents, James and Alma Jackson Sr.; brother, James “Booga” Jackson, Jr.; sisters: Lois Pate, Barbara Jackson, and Edith Jackson; and nephew, Trevous Jackson. 

Philip leaves to cherish his precious memories: his siblings: Lottie Dubose, Patsy Jackson, and Calvin Jackson. 

Philip “Bud” Jackson, gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

Rest in heaven, Philip. We love you, but God loved you best.
