Mrs. Rosa Lee Bruce was born on February 28, 1937, to Edward and Agnes Cuffie. Rosa, our angel departed this earthly life on Friday June 13, 2025. It is comforting knowing that angels are always near to those who are grieving to whisper to them and let them know their loved ones are safe in the hands of God.
Rosa received her formal education from Darlington County Public School system. She was a graduate of Butler High School Class of 1955. To provide stability for her family, Rosa worked several jobs throughout her professional career. Rosa was employed by Jackson Dry Cleaners as a folder and presser, and she was a letter carrier for the United Postal Service until her retirement.
Rosa was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Johnny Ray Youngblood and Centerville AME Church under the leadership of Dr. Angia Taylor. She served on the stewardess and of kitchen committee ministries.
In her pastime, Rosa enjoyed shopping, traveling, reading (Google Queen), a good advisor, and spending time with her family. Her hobbies included seamstress and herbalist. Rosa was dedicated to whatever she put her mind to.
