It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Ms. Ruby Phillips.

Ms. Phillips transitioned on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Davis Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Hartsville, SC.

Services are entrusted to Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville,SC.

On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, heaven gained the most beautiful of angels. Ruby Phillips passed away peacefully at the Medical University of South Carolina Florence Medical Center, at the age of 68. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us every day.

 Ruby was born on May 17, 1958, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Louise Phillips and James Phillips. 

Ruby was her family’s anchor. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with selfishness, laughter, and endless love. Her favorite pastime was shopping. Ruby was passionate about reading her Bible and found joy in quoting scriptures. 

Ruby was preceded in death by: her mother, Louise Bradley Phillips; father, James Phillips; sister, Diane Brown; nephew, Chester Brown; and niece,Tasha Brown.

 Ruby, a devoted mother, leaves to cherish her lasting memories to: her daughter, Salena (Jarrett) Williams of McBee, SC; son, Darryl Lilley of Darlington, SC; grandchildren: Jamaris Bailey, Taliyah Williams, and Jaylen William; brothers: James Phillips of Decatur, GA, and Levern Phillips and Tommie Lee (Delores) Johnson, both of Darlington, SC; sisters: Lorraine Davis and Martha Ann (Tommie) McCall, both of Hartsville SC, and Darlene (Donnie) James of Florence, SC; along with a host of nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.

Ruby will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
