It is with sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Ms. Sarah Turner.
Ms. Turner passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
The family will receive friends at: 71 White Road, Bishopville, SC.
Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23:4-6
We honor Sarah Louise Turner today, a person who walked closely with God and poured love into every life she encountered. Her strength came from her faith, and her life was a testament to God’s promises. As Psalm 23 reminds us, ‘Sarah now dwells in the house of the Lord forever.’ We grieve, but we also celebrate a life lived with purpose, knowing her spirit lives on in Christ and in our hearts.
Sarah Louise Turner was born July 21, 1951, in Bishopville, SC to Essie Mae Miller and Samuel Richard Miller. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
Sarah received her formal education at Lee County Public Schools, graduating from Dennis High School in 1969. She continued her education at Columbia International, where she received a certificate in accounting. Sarah began her career as a tool crib attendant at Talley Metal Technology, where she dedicated twenty-five years of service.
Sarah was a member of Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and lived a life that brought glory to God. Sarah also served as the church custodian until her health began to decline.
In her free time, Sarah enjoyed playing the lottery, going to Lee County Council on Aging Center, spending time with her granddaughter, cooking and feeding the family dog.
Sarah was the last surviving child of eleven children. Her siblings: Carrie Miller, Gussie Boyd, Gertrude Miller, Irene Miller, Richard Miller, Sammie Lee Miller, Isaac Miller, Robert Miller, Barbara Jean Hyatt, and Jannie Miller, preceded her in death.
Surviving to cherish Sarah’s memories are: her devoted son, Baron (Ciggia) Miller Turner; granddaughter, Tia Marie Turner; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other close relatives and friends.
While we will miss Sarah dearly, we take comfort in knowing she is now in the arms of her Heavenly Father, where she is forever at peace.
Rest in peace, Faithful Servant.
