Willie Earl Griffin

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Mr. Willie Earl Griffin.

Mr. Griffin transitioned on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

The family will receive friends at: 420 Jasper Avenue, Hartsville, SC.

Services are entrusted to Davis Funeral Home, LLC, of Hartsville, SC.

 ‘To live in hearts, we leave behind is not to die.’ Willie Earl Griffin may no longer be with us, but his spirit, his love, and his passion live on in each of us. We will hold onto the memories, the laughter, and the love he shared with us. And in doing so we keep his spirit alive. Farewell, dear brother, uncle, cousin, friend until we meet again.

 Mr. Willie Earl Griffin was born on December 12, 1959, to the late James and Daisy Griffin, Jr. He transitioned on Saturday, May 23, 2026. 

Willie Earl received his primary and secondary education in the Darlington County Public School system, graduating from Butler High School, class of 1978. Willie Earl continued his education at Benedict College.

 Willie Earl was preceded in death by: his parents, James and Daisy Griffin. Jr.; and siblings: Catherine Moses, Michael Griffin and Teresa Griffin.

 Willie Earl is survived by: siblings: Carolyn Moses, Margaret Jeffery, James Griffin Jr., Alonzo (Latonya) Griffin, and Linda Griffin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other close relatives and friends. 

Rest in peace, Willie Earl Griffin. Your memory will forever be a blessing.
